The paediatric surgery division provides treatment for adolescents, children (paediatric) and newborn babies (neonatal) with surgical conditions of the
- lung(s)
- diaphragm
- gastrointestinal tract
- hepatobiliary system
- vascular system (malformations), and
- genito-urinary tract.
We work closely with our colleagues in the Department of Paediatrics to provide Paediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care for patients requiring peri-operative support. We aim to provide the option of minimally invasive or laparoscopic surgery for paediatric and neonatal patients for both elective and emergency surgeries, whenever possible.
